Preconceived Ideas Regarding Saudi Workforce
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Zamil has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zamil Industrial Investment Company since its formation in 1998. He is also Chairman of Zamil Holding Company. Dr. Al Zamil started his distinguished career in 1973 as Assistant Professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He was appointed Deputy Governor of Electricity in 1977, and then served as Deputy Minister of Commerce in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1980 to 1996. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of both the Saudi Export Development Center and the National Power Company. He is also a board member of the Al Shoura Consultative Council, Sahara Petrochemicals Company, Saudi International Petrochemical Company (SIPCHEM), Ministry of Labor Consultative Committee, and the High Committee of King Saud University Endowment. Dr. Al Zamil has authored several publications and has also represented the Government of Saudi Arabia and headed delegations to various international conferences and events on industry and development. He received his B.A. in Law from Cairo University and his Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, USA.
