Kentish Plover

Species Summary


Common. Found at the golf course, gardens and on sandy waste areas. Nest in bare patches of rocky ground and on the beaches. Successful breeder. Parents often draw intruders from the nest site with mimic displays including a ‘broken wing’ impression.
