AbstractNumerical simulation of wave phenomena is routinely used in seismic studies, where simulated wave signals are compared against experimental ones to infer subterranean information. Various wave systems can be used to model wave propagation in earth media. Here, we consider the system of isotropic elastic wave equations described in Section 2.
