Session DescriptionThe lecture will tap into current world trends and how these trends will impact the workplace of the future. We will look at the competencies needed to adapt to these changing workplaces, and how these differ from the competencies of today, and how organizations are rethinking their organizations to set the right foundations for the future. This lecture is part our Business Leadership Series: Learn to Lead, presented in collaboration with the KAUST University Development Department. This is a part of our Brown Bag Lecture Series. A light lunch will be provided.
Speaker Bio
Vice-President, Corporate Communications, Marketing Corporate Social Responsibility. Mr Banaja leads the SEDCO Holding's marketing, corporate communications and CSR programs which includes the Riyali Financial Literacy Program targeted at reaching over 2 million Saudi Youth by 2020. He joined SEDCO Holding in 2011, having been VP Marketing Communication at SEDCO Development, a SEDCO Holding operating company from 2010. He currently serves on the Board of Tarfeeh a SEDCO Holding owned company focusing on the casual dining market in Saudi. He is also a board member of Oqal, a non profit organization that aims at bringing together young business entrepreneurs together with angel investors. Amr is also currently the deputy head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee for the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce. Before joining SEDCO, Mr. Banaja partnered with Seventh Art Group, the New York based real estate service provider, to launch its Middle East office in Dubai, successfully leading a number of projects. He has a diverse career across the real estate, financial services and consumer goods sectors, with earlier experience includes senior positions across the GCC region at SAMA Dubai, the National Commercial Bank (Investor Services Division), Unilever, and Gillette. Mr Banaja is a BA graduate from Boston College, USA, majoring in Economics with a minor in Mathematics.
