SponsorsThe papers on DNA repair systems in this issue grew out of a highly successful conference on International Workshop on Dynamic DNA and RNA Structures in Damage Responses & Cancer in 2016 in Cancun, Mexico sponsored by Fusion Conferences. I acknowledge that I learned much from this conference and the papers in this volume, and apologize for my focus on the limited associated literature with which I am most familiar which resulted in many outstanding papers not being noted. I thank all the attending researchers for contributing both insights and discussions on this topic during the meeting that are reflected in these papers.
